Burma Shave Signs

Burma Shave Sign Campaign

Photos arranged as you would see them on the road.

Read from the bottom up.

We did this in 2012 (I think) and these signs garnered a lot of attention. We're planning to do this again in 2022. But before we can make the signs, we need some clever messages to put on them.

How clever can you be in 4 short lines?

As you can see from the sample above:

  • There are 4 signs for the message.

  • I think the consensus was that the 5th sign would read: "EssexRepublicans.org" instead of "Vote Republican"

  • Those signs can hold no more than 20 characters. (That may be stretching it.)

  • Lines 2 and 4 should rhyme.

  • We're looking for clever and humorous ways to reach out to voters and make them think!

Send your suggestions to us at essexvtgop1@gmail.com.

We'll pool the suggestions and choose 4 of the best messages to post on these signs. These signs will be seen by thousands of cars each day! Will one of those messages be yours?
